Everything we consume links back to other people. So – and I say this as co-founder of a commercial business – there’s a fundamental human choice to be made about our relationship to the supply chain. Do we connect with farmers or exploit them? Explore new flavours and food possibilities or submit to monoculture?
Fairtrade isn’t a product or a brand, it’s a story about who we are and what the future holds. I’m proud to have built the Wellington Chocolate Factory on the principle that the connections we build between people through food define what we truly mean when we say ‘humanity’.
